Description
Each student's work includes an interview with an Elder where words and wisdom are passed down. Following Nʕawqnwixʷ protocol, the Elder's also identified which of the Four Food Chiefs the child resembles based on his or her personality type. In class, the students gathered in these four groups representing the Chiefs and discussed "What they would do for the people to be" as caretakers of the earth for future generations. The children used their images and quotes from their Elders to express ideas important to their culture.
