"Human Immortality" was a speech delivered during the annual Ingersoll Lectureship, given in memory of George Goldthwait Ingersoll, in 1897 at Harvard University. Together this collection of eleven essays exemplifies why William James was such a powerful influence on modern psychology. This edition includes a biographical afterword.
